A study revealed a third of Chinese men under 20 years old will die at a young age, if they do not stop smoking.
Oxford University scientists, Akedemi Health Sciences of China, and the Chinese Center for Disease Control investigate this case through two separate studies, for 15 years and conducted a survey of hundreds of thousands of people.
Results of the study were released in The Lancet called the two-thirds of Chinese men smoke the first time before the age of 20. About half of them will die from the habit.
If this trend continues, the number of deaths per year due to tobacco in China will reach two million people by 2030, with the majority of victims are male.
A study revealed a third of Chinese men under age 20 will die at a young age if you do not stop smoking.
Research calls this condition as 'plague premature death'.
Just like with in some circles of society in Indonesia, usually after eating most of the men in China directly smoking.
Friendship and business was not uncommon to be built in the middle of the smoke.
Difficulty enforcing the prohibition
No wonder the Chinese government had difficulty in applying a ban on smoking in public places. Moreover, the country is still seeing sales of cigarettes as a way to gain a tax.
In this Bamboo Curtain country, cigarettes can be by-passed by the high price when priced cigarettes equipped with accessories golden patterned on the packaging.
However, for the poor people of China, also sold cigarettes at a low price for 2.5 yuan, or about 5,000 per wrapper.
As a result, when the number of smokers in developed countries continues to decline, the number actually increased in China. Especially when the economy improves and the number of wealthy people increased.
In a country where people smoke as a habit that integrates with daily life, few people understand the ill effects of tobacco use.
Based on data from the United Nations Health Organization, WHO, only 25% of Chinese adults who could mention the ill effects of smoking, ranging from lung cancer to heart disease.
So not surprisingly, only 10% of Chinese smokers who quit because of his own choice, while most ended up quitting because they were too sick.
Globally, the WHO called the smoke kills up to half its users.
